How Brewers Can Participate

Member Event Suggestions

  • Kick off May 17-23 by having a new beer release party and get everyone to sign the Declaration of Beer Independence (JPEG file, ~2.2 MB).
  • Print the Declaration of Beer Independence Poster, put it up in your brewery or tap room and get as many people to sign it as possible. Then frame the poster and keep it in the brewery showing those customers how much you appreciate them.
  • Host a special beer dinner where attendees each get a copy of the Declaration of Beer Independence signed by all your staff!
  • Declare your brewing independence by shooting a video of your customers and staff celebrating American Craft Beer Week and signing the Declaration of Beer Independence. Then post the video on American Craft Beer Week on Facebook for over 10,000 fans to see.
  • Brew an American Craft Beer Wheat during Big Brew in early May and then tap the beer during the week of May 17-23.
  • If you are a brew pub, offer a different food special each night that pairs with an American Craft Beer Wheat.
  • Offer special brewery tours during the week of May 17-23.
  • Time a festival to happen during the week to give your attendees even more to cheer about.
  • Use American Craft Beer Week as a reason to release special vintages of some of your beers and you'll be sure to get everyone toasting.
  • Offer a special 'beer class' during the week that gives fans extended time with your brewer master.
  • Since craft brewers are known for being such amazing community citizens pick a charity to raise money for during American Craft Beer Week and go for it! You could organize a 5K or 10K costume race, create a battle of the bands night and more. Get crazy with it people!
  • Send out a press release to your local media outlets telling them why you think American Craft Beer Week is the perfect time for them to feature craft beer from small and independent producers in the area.
